MAESTRA provides support, visibility, and community to the women and nonbinary people who make the music in the musical theater industry. The membership is made up of composers, music directors, orchestrators, arrangers, copyists, rehearsal pianists and other musicians.

As the Director of Marketing and Communications, I led the planning, development, and implementation of all of the organization’s marketing, strategies, communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.

RISE Theatre, a program of Maestra, aims to foster a more equitable and inclusive theater industry by providing DEIA tools and resources. Through a network of partners and a national personnel directory, RISE supports and amplifies individuals from underrepresented backgrounds, including but not limited to people of color, women, trans and nonbinary individuals, as well as deaf and disabled theater professionals.

As Director of Marketing and Communications, I supported this public service initiative by partnering with the RISE Program Manager to develop strategic and creative content that drove intentional, mission-aligned marketing efforts.

Literacy Partners advances literacy two generations at a time, by supporting adults, parents, and caregivers in nurturing the literacy skills they and the children in their lives need to thrive.

As Marketing Manager, I’ve led integrated campaigns that combined marketing communications and fundraising across multimedia platforms—leveraging my branding expertise to engage audiences with a fresh and compelling perspective.

Gibney is a dance company, a performing arts hub, and a social action incubator in New York City.

As the Director of Marketing, I supported and led Gibney’s marketing efforts in its respective areas: Company, Community Action, and Center. This includes creating and managing all digital and print content, programming, social media campaigns, assisting artists in residencies, and more.

Ballet Hispánico

As the Marketing & Administrative Associate, I oversaw marketing and branding campaigns for the School of Dance programs. This involved developing and executing marketing strategies for merchandise, pop-up shops, the school’s upcoming 50th Anniversary, auditions, events, and performances.

In response to COVID-19, my team and I launched #BUnidos, a video series campaign offering free online classes and resources to the community. Thanks to collaboration with others, the campaign has expanded to support the three pillars of Ballet Hispánico: the professional company, the School of Dance, and the Community Arts Partnership (CAP).

Verge of Verse

As the former Social Media Editor at this online start-up, I collaborated with my team to create visually compelling images and graphics that resonated with our loyal audience—driving engagement through shares, likes, and new opportunities for creatives to connect with us and each other.

Later, as VOV’s Creative Consultant, I helped shape the platform’s marketing strategies, foster key partnerships, and strengthen our evolving brand identity.

SHE

As the Communications Intern at SHE, I managed social media platforms for a growing business dedicated to championing women of color in entrepreneurship.

For my final project, I developed and launched a brand campaign aimed at increasing followers and expanding our online community.

In the English Language Studies Program at The New School, I've designed the department's flyers, posters, and manuals (both print and online) for various programs, upcoming classes, events, and info sessions.

Below is a flipbook of the official Student Manual and CTE Handbook I enjoyed designing!

We are delighted that you have decided to study English in the English Language Studies Department at The New School. All of our ESL classes are college preparation courses. We focus on academic English and on developing the skills that you will need to study in a degree program, such as academic writing, presentation skills, extensive reading, critical thinking, and solid vocabulary and grammar knowledge.
